First off, let’s be real. Fake snow is WEIRD. I mean, it’s trying to be something it’s not, right? Like that one friend who *always* wears a fedora. Anyway, these “large bags” we’re talking about… they seem to come in a few flavors, you know?
You got the “Paper Snow Standard” kind. This stuff sounds like it’s made from, like, recycled napkins or something. The description says “soft paper cellulose,” which basically confirms my napkin theory. Apparently, it’s good for outdoor scenes and cleans up easy-peasy with “Snow Blankets.” (What *are* snow blankets???) Honestly, I’m picturing a giant, slightly damp pile of shredded paper. Pass. Although… if you’re staging a zombie apocalypse scene, maybe? Just spitballing here.
Then there’s the “Snow in Seconds” thing that also has iridescent sprinkles. Okay, now we’re talkin’. Sparkles make *everything* better. It’s like fairy dust, but snow-flavored. They’re even selling the sprinkles separately, which is kinda genius. You KNOW some kid is gonna end up eating those. Don’t judge, I probably would too. (No, I wouldn’t. Maybe.) The large bag is “the equivalent of 4 x small bags” I do love a good deal!
And there’s…polyester fluffy snow from Joyin. Sounds kinda…meh. “Wintry snow scenes in your shop or classroom.” Snoozeville. Unless you’re running a Christmas-themed taxidermy shop, I just don’t see the application here. But hey, maybe I’m missing something. Bright Ideas Crafts sounds like a very inspiring web site tho!
Then we got Hungdao throwing glitter into the mix! I gotta hand it to them, glitter can make any fake snow a whole lot better. But I still can’t help but think what are you really doing with all this fake snow? Are you some sort of DIY artist? Or are you a Youtuber trying to make it big?
Finally, there’s the “Instant Snow” that claims to be the “most realistic and highest quality.” Big talk, Instant Snow, big talk. “Play areas, photo areas, and use instant snow for small and large events.” Sounds expensive, but potentially less napkin-y than the Paper Snow Standard. I’m imagining this is the kind you mix with water and it poofs up like magic. Science! Or, you know, polymers.
