Anyway, I was digging around, because, duh, I’m always looking for a bargain (who isn’t?!), and I stumbled across some talk about dupes for MAC lipsticks. Specifically, “I Like To Watch.” Now, I don’t know *exactly* what “I Like To Watch” looks like, but from what I gather, it’s probably something in the nude-ish, maybe slightly rosy, family? I’m just guessing, okay? Don’t @ me if I’m wrong!
So, I’m not gonna lie, finding a *perfect* dupe is, like, basically impossible. Shades shift, formulas are different, and sometimes it’s just the vibe, ya feel me? I saw one person mentioned Wet N’ Wild’s “Bare it All” as a dupe for Velvet Teddy, which, okay, might be close-ish to what we’re going for? Maybe? I dunno. It’s probably a good starting point, tbh. And WnW is cheap as chips, so you won’t cry when you inevitably lose it.
Someone else mentioned MAC Faux being “undupable.” Now, that’s a strong statement! But, whatever. Maybe “I Like To Watch” is *related* to Faux? Lipstick families are a thing now, I guess.
And speaking of lip liners, someone said Essence has a dupe for MAC Soar. Now, a good lip liner can *totally* change the game! So, even if you don’t find a perfect lipstick match, you could probably use a similar liner to, like, fake it ’til you make it, you know?
Honestly, the whole “dupe” thing can be a rabbit hole. It’s kinda fun, though! I saw a video mentioning Makeup Revolution dupes… maybe they have something similar? I’d def check those out if I were you.
